Just as the number of ships calling the Port of Sohar is increasing the number of business men and women from the region attending the yearly Sohar Port Company Herring party grew this year.

On Wednesday the 21st of June the Dutch tradition of eating the fresh Holland new herring (Hollandse Nieuwe) was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Sohar. Sohar Industrial Port Company SAOC (SIPC) who manages the Port of Sohar arranged this popular event for the third time.
